Third T20 abandoned

The third T20I between South Africa and India at Eden Gardens was abandoned without a ball being bowled on Thursday.

Rain during the early afternoon led to a very wet outfield and despite the best efforts of the groundstaff, play was called off at around 9:30pm Indian time.

The Proteas won the first two T20’s to take the series 2-0. JP Duminy was named as the Man of the Series.

The five-match one-day international series starts on Sunday.
