Newlands will host the 2026 SA20 final with three other venues staging playoff matches.
Kingsmead will host a playoff when the first qualifier playoff takes place on Wednesday, 21 January. Centurion follows with the eliminator on Thursday, 22 January, before the Wanderers decides the second finalist in the second qualifier playoff on Friday, 23 January. The final at Newlands will take place on Sunday, 25 January.
All three SA20 finals to date have sold out, and league commissioner Graeme Smith expects another full house.
“SA20 season four is shaping up to be an incredibly exciting summer of cricket, kicking off on Boxing Day and running through the holiday period,” Smith said.

“Last year Newlands sold out all five matches at the venue and with the final taking place on a Sunday, it sets up an incredible afternoon with great weather, entertainment and a lively atmosphere to crown our season four champions.
“Durban will host a playoff for the first time and we’re hoping this excites the fans, especially because the two best teams will meet in that Qualifier 1. We’re also excited to return to Centurion and the Wanderers – it’s always key to have those venues close together because the matches are a day apart.”
The next big step is the player auction on 9 September, where franchises will complete their 19-player squads.
