• Quinny leads Proteas charge

    Quinton de Kock, fresh from a successful tour with South Africa A, will be one of the star attractions when the Africa T20 Cup competition starts in Benoni on Friday.

    De Kock will be making his debut for Easterns, who will be hosting the Pool A matches, which also involve a Zimbabwe President’s XI, Northerns and Western Province. The six matches in this pool will be played from Friday until Sunday with the winners going through to the semi-finals at the beginning of next month.

    Fixtures
    Friday: 6pm: Easterns vs Western Province
    Saturday: 9:30am: Western Province vs Northerns; 1pm: Easterns vs Zimbabwe; 4:30pm: Northerns vs Zimbabwe
    Sunday: 10am: Zimbabwe vs Western Province; 1:30pm: Easterns vs Northerns

    The four day-time fixtures (two on Saturday and two on Sunday) will be televised live by SuperSport. Proteas in action are Quinton de Kock (Easterns), Albie Morkel (Northerns), Dean Elgar (Northerns) and Dane Vilas (WP).
