• Anderson leads England fightback

James Anderson took two key wickets to reduce South Africa to 49-3 on day four at Centurion.

The Proteas began day four in a strong position. Stephen Cook and Hashim Amla were at the crease, and the hosts boasted a 175-run lead with nine second innings wickets in hand.

The situation has changed somewhat with England taking two wickets in the first half hour. Anderson made good use of the conditions to dismiss Cook and then AB de Villiers in the space of three balls.

The double blow will force the Proteas to adjust their plans. They may look to survive until lunch and then accelerate after the break.
