After being released from the Proteas Test squad to play in a Sunfoil Series clash against the Lions, Wayne Parnell responded with 103 and 6-98.
We need a good allrounder. England has a great one. Ausies has Stark. That will give the team way more ballance. I am not a fan but give him 3 tests in a row and see how he goes
In my opinion he will never make it on test level! Good at franchise level but haven't impressed on higher stage! But i will be the first to congratulate him if he proves me wrong!
I am not really a fan, but yes, he deserves a shot in the 3rd test. It would be nice to have a left arm seamer too
Parnell is good no doubt and he can bat, but he needs better control with the ball as he often is expensive.
ASB tog Wayne Parnell demmit hy kan nie krieket spel nie wat nog van speel sunfoil reeks is Niks in vergelyking met international. Hy choke altyd internationaal.
Then everybody in our proteas team needs to be sacked after big tournaments- as they choke all the time. Parnell deserves a shot again. But we will only see if you right once he takes the field
he's got the talent but he hasn't been the same after the injury he suffered after playing against the Aussies, however even with him losing a few attributes he's still good enough to play international cricket
So. Here is another player who, over the last few years, has been in and out of the SA team. Wonder what would happen if he gets 'gatvol' and decides to leave our shores?
He should get a chance, but don't talk about guarantee. Nothing guaranteed in international cricket.
I think he needs to get the nod and play in the final test. He adds a different dimension being a lefty. He just needs to believe in himself and rise to the occasion, this maybe his last chance as other players in the wings are rising
Its about time we give him a chance at Test level.I believe he wont disappoint and prevent a situation like Kyle Abbott. Why must he always sit on the sideline but he is in the Proteas set up!!
Exactly my point give the man more scope he is talented and he can become one of our best all-rounders. Why must he always sit on the sideline.
Sigh......Do you even have to ask Admin ? Many people forget how DEVASTATING Wayne was in his last test against Aus before he got injured. Any test team would DiE for a fast left arm bowler who opens batting at first class level. Yeez !
I hope we play 4 seamers at the Wanderers with JP and Elgar anchoring as spinners, And Parnell shud play in those 4 pace bowlers
Wayne has always been talented problem with him is no one but him He can swing the ball both ways and can bat he's good enough for international cricket he just has to take his chance again
Actually if you look at his stats they tell a better story...it just seems that he performs badly when the team does but due to his personality he gets the blame
He was exceptional at one stage, got injured and struggling to get to his best at int. But i reckon he has done enough to play for proteas again
